My number one goal as a teacher, regardless of the classroom, setting, or length of time that I have been with the students, is to build a positive and safe environment. Having students feel comofortable with me as their teacher helps me to instruct them all the more. Along with what is taught within the state standards, teaching students to become kind, responsible, and passionate individuals is what I am aiming for through my instruction. My students may remember my reading lessons for a school year, but I have high hopes that they will value and treasure the lessons taught on how to be a well rounded individual.
